Description
Previously I used to pick up pre made date paste from the grocery store to use in various recipes including my low fat peanut butter recipe. But I realized that it was always wrapped in a single use plastic and it never tasted very fresh. So I decided to make my own date paste with some dates that I had sitting in the fridge. It worked out great, and now I can have a plastic free and fresh date paste anytime.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups whole dates (pitted)
Instructions
- Place the dates into your food processor or blender.
- Process for 60 seconds, stopping and scraping the sides down as needed.
Notes
Store your date paste in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
