With Fall right around the corner it’s time to start breaking out the delicious seasonal spiced drinks. Now you can go to your local coffee shop and pick up a sugar filled pumpkin flavored drink, or you can make your own seasonal favorites.

When it comes to this time of year I love finding new and delicious ways to use sweet potatoes and all the wonderful spices that they pair so fantastic with. This sweet potato pie smoothie is a great way to start the morning or end the day with a nice cool treat.

Sweet Potato Pie Smoothie


Description

Sweet Potato Pie Smoothies are the perfect way to celebrate Fall while keeping it whole food plant-based and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sweet potato cubes (cooked and frozen)

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1/2 cup of plant-based milk

  • 1 tbs maple syrup

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/8 tsp clove


Instructions

  1. Place all of the ingredients into a blender or food processor. Blend on medium-high speed for one to two minutes until the sweet potatoes have become a smoothie consistency.


Notes

Depending on how your sweet potatoes were cooked they may or may not need a tablespoon more of maple syrup.
