Homemade BBQ Jackfruit goes great on a bun by itself or over a delicious Vegan “Pork” Burgers topped with some Spicy Jalapeño Lime Guacamole.

Homemade BBQ Jackfruit is one of the easiest and tastiest vegan BBQ recipes that you can make!

Ingredients

  • 1 can young green jackfruit (drained and rinsed)
  • ½ cup vegetable broth (or water)
  • ¼ cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the drained and rinsed young green jackfruit into your food processor.
  2. Process the jackfruit for 30 seconds or until the majority of the jackfruit pieces have been shredded.
  3. Add the shredded jackfruit and the remaining ingredients into the InstantPot. Mix together using a mixing spoon.
  4. Set the InstantPot to cook for 15 minutes on the manual or “pressure cook” setting.
  5. Allow the InstantPot to naturally release before removing the lid.
