Description
Vegan “Cheesy” Chili beans go great over a bed of brown rice, on top of a baked potato, or even onto a bowl of cooked pasta.
Ingredients
4 cups black beans, cooked
3 cups water
2 to 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
*optional 1 to 3 tablespoons pickled jalapenos
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients into a medium-sized pot on the stovetop. Mix together so that all of the spices are well dissolved.
- Cover and cook on a medium heat setting for 15-30 minutes. You can also cook this on the low setting for a longer time frame (1 t 2 hours) if you prefer the set it and forget it approach.
