How to Make Walnut Milk

How to Make Walnut Milk

One of the hardest parts of going plant-based for a lot of people is giving up the dairy, and all the different things that are made with it. If this is you, then I am here to help today! We love making plant-based milk in the kitchen, but I personally do not like the hassle of trying to strain them.

So we like to stick to a few different plant-based milk recipes that do not require any straining after you make it. My two favorites that are simple to make and don’t need to be strained are Cashew Milk and this Walnut Milk.

Description

We like to stick to a few different plant-based milk recipes that do not require any straining after you make it. My two favorites that are simple to make and don’t need to be strained are Cashew Milk and this Walnut Milk.

Scale

Ingredients

  • 3 tbs walnut pieces (soaked)
  • 32 oz water (cold)

Instructions

  1. Add the soaked walnut pieces to the blender along with the cold water.
  2. Blend for 1-2 minutes or until the walnut pieces have been completely blended.
  3. Transfer to a refrigerator safe container (we prefer mason jars) and store for up to 5 days.

Notes

You can make this plant-based milk more of a creamy and thicker consistency by halving the amount of water used in the recipe.

As the walnut milk cools in the refrigerator it will naturally have some separation in the jar. Shake right before using the milk to unsettle any separation.
