Jalapeño Lime Guacamole

Jalapeño Lime Guacamole

I must confess that during the summertime when our grill seems to be running nonstop, we make this spicy jalapeno lime guacamole two or three times a week.

I haven’t always liked the flavor of avocados but over time they have grown on me. We love to make this guacamole pretty spicy using fresh jalapenos from our farm.

If you are looking for a more mild flavor, feel free to decrease the number of jalapeños used in the base recipe or try de-seeding the peppers to help cut down on the heat. This is amazing as a dip and takes my healthy plant-based burgers to another level with a big dollop of this spicy guacamole on top!

Scale

Ingredients

  • 3 jalapeños
  • 1 lime
  • 2 avocadoes (medium size, ripe)
  • ½ tsp sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Grill the jalapeños whole for 8 to 10 minutes or until they have softened and char marks are visible.
  2. Remove the jalapeños from the grill and dice them into ⅛ inch pieces. Then slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the soft flesh.
  3. Add the jalapeño pieces, avocado, and lime juice into a bowl and mix together until a creamy guacamole consistency is reached.
